We're looking for an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join a major information services client in Belgium. You'll work within the Consumer Centricity (CC) domain to design modern architectures, guide integrations, and support key transformation initiatives across Belgium and Germany.LogisticsPosition: Freelance Senior Solution ArchitectDuration: 12-month contract (extension likely)Day Rate: €(Competitive & Negotiable)Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid – min. 2 days onsite/week, Tuesday required)Start Date: ASAPTravel: Occasional Europe travel (fully covered)Core ResponsibilitiesDesign realisable IT architectures aligned with enterprise and product-cluster objectives.Document and maintain current/future application, data and business architecture landscapes.Conduct trade-off analysis and advise on architectural options.Translate requirements into solution building blocks using approved patterns.Lead and support integration design across diverse systems.Align stakeholders across business, product teams, and architecture.Participate in governance (Architecture Review Boards, ADR, ATAM).Contribute to CC-related digital transformation initiatives in Belgium and Germany.Essential Skills & Experience6+ years as a Solution Architect in complex IT landscapes.Strong experience documenting architecture blueprints and integrations.Familiarity with B2B/B2C portal architectures.Knowledge of standards: ArchiMate, TOGAF, ATAM, CBAM.Understanding of DDD, microservices, event-driven and streaming architectures.Solid grasp of data architecture concepts.Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills.Agile mindset; comfortable working autonomously.Fluent English; French, Dutch, or German are a plus.Nice to HaveKnowledge of infrastructure and security (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SSO+).Development background (.NET, JS/TS, Micro Frontend, Azure, Kubernetes).Understanding of RabbitMQ, Kafka, SAP S/4HANA, BTP, CPI, Event Mesh.Why Join?Join a forward-thinking European organisation at the heart of major digital and energy-transition initiatives.
