IT is cruciaal binnen Colruyt Group. Het team Compute & Storage Services ondersteunt o.a. de server hardware, storage- en backup-omgeving van de teams binnen het Service Center IAAS. Als system engineer doe je de selectie, installatie en operationeel beheer. Een internationale context van topspecialisten


Als system engineer bij het Compute & Storage Services team ben je betrokken bij de selectie, installatie en het dagdagelijks operationeel beheer van onder andere de storage- en backup-omgevingen (DELLEMC PowerMax8000s, IBM FS7000s, DELLEMC PowerScale, DELLEMC ECS, DELLEMC PPDM backup software, DELLEMC Data Domains, Cisco SAN Directors, …), de server hardware (DELL-servers, Lenovo-servers) en virtualisatie omgeving (VMWare, Scale Computing en 2 IBM PowerServers). Je internationale team zit op verschillende locaties in België én in India.


Wat doe je concreet:

• Je volgt de capaciteit en performantie op van de storage-omgeving.

• Je beheert de server-hardware (bijvoorbeeld firmware-upgrades).

• Je implementeert en beheert de backup-infrastructuur en software.

• Je biedt fysieke en virtuele servers aan de Linux- en Windows-systeemgroepen.

• Je initieert, definieert, realiseert en implementeert tal van eigen projecten. Een aantal voorbeelden van de afgelopen maanden en van de nabije toekomst zijn:

  • Introductie van backups voor Microsoft M365 omgeving
  • Garanderen van continuïteit van onze Colruyt Cloud (optimalisatie projecten, firmware upgrades, …)
  • Introductie van Secure Snapshotting op DELLEMC PowerMax8000s
  • Automatisatie wekelijkse copy van Datawarehouse omgeving (65TB)
  • Migratie naar DELLEMC PowerScale NAS
  • Opzetten van VMWare Cloud Foundation en nog zoveel meer

Je werkt in Zwijnaarde, Haasrode of Halle met de mogelijkheid tot 3 dagen per week van thuis te kunnen werken.


Profiel:

• Kennis en ervaring: Ofwel heb je net een Masteropleiding (in een IT-richting) en heb je tonnen zin om erin te vliegen met een grondige opleiding on-the-job. Of je hebt al enkele jaren relevante (werk)ervaring met scripting (Python) en bijvoorbeeld Storage, SAN of Backup&Recovery.

Ben je ook al vertrouwd met het beheren van Linux of Windows servers? Dat is zeker een pluspunt.

• Teamplayer: Je denkt in functie van het team en de optimale ondersteuning die jullie samen bieden.

• Georganiseerd: Je kan je planning en agenda goed beheren en houdt structuur in je taken, ook als je verschillende opdrachten tegelijkertijd hebt.

• Oplossingsgericht: Jij denkt in oplossingen en blijft dan ook steeds kalm wanneer een issue de kop opsteekt. Problemen? Dat zijn uitdagingen om beter doen

• Flexibel: Je krijgt een voltijds contract met glijdende kantooruren, maar hebt er geen probleem mee om af en toe ook in het weekend te werken en ingeschakeld te worden in een wachtsysteem.

• Talenkennis: Je bent vloeiend in het Nederlands en Engels en hebt een basiskennis Frans. Zo kun je vlot communiceren met je collega’s en partners.
