️ System Engineer Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid) Contract: Freelance Experience: 3–5 years Why this role? You will join a Brussels-based client where you'll play a key role in keeping IT systems running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where your work will directly support business operations and help teams work efficiently. You will get the chance to improve existing systems, automate routine tasks, and contribute to a stable IT environment. Your role As a System Engineer, you will be part of the IT team responsible for the management and maintenance of critical systems. You will work closely with IT support, network, security, and operations teams to ensure infrastructure is secure, reliable, and well-documented. What you will do Manage and maintain Windows/Linux systems Support servers, virtual machines and core IT infrastructure Assist with updates, monitoring, and troubleshooting ️ Collaborate with IT support, network, and security teams Improve documentation and day-to-day IT processes Help implement automation or Infrastructure as Code where possible Ensure systems are stable, secure, and ready for daily operations Who you are You have 3–5 years of experience in system administration or a similar IT role and enjoy solving practical technical problems. You are hands-on, curious, and able to explain technical topics clearly to colleagues. Nice to have: Experience with virtualization, backups, or monitoring tools Exposure to cloud or hybrid environments Experience in the financial sector or regulated environments Interested or have questions?
