Your Role

De verantwoordelijkheid van het intern ICT-Technical Support Engineering team is het bouwen, onderhouden en ondersteunen van de gehele IT-infrastructuur aan boord van de schepen, op de werven en in de kantoren.
Als Technical Support Engineer Site beschik je over een brede ICT-kennis en ben je geïnteresseerd in alles wat ICT omvat.

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor:

  • Het uitvoeren van infrastructuurprojecten van A tot Z via vastgelegde werkwijzen en procedures;
  • Voorbereiding, configuratie, installatie en onderhoud van de volledige ICT-infrastructuur volgens afgesproken standaarden;
  • Het beheer van de server hardware, server virtualisatie, applicatie virtualisatie, netwerkinfrastructuur;
  • Meebouwen aan een performante en stabiele ICT-omgeving.

Hiervoor beschik je over de nodige ervaring, of wens je je kennis verder uit te breiden in volgende domeinen:

  • Switches en routers
  • Firewalls
  • Storage
  • Server en client hardware
  • WiFi systemen
  • Virtualisatie (VMWare vSphere, Hyper-v,...)
  • Operating systems zoals Windows 10, Windows Server, Linux,...
  • Applicaties: PRTG, Veeam, Symantec ITMS, MS Office,...
  • Services: DHCP, DNS, Active directory, print servers, file sharing...

Bijkomend kom je eveneens in contact met niet courante technologieën waaronder:

  • WiFi mesh systemen tussen onze schepen;
  • Satellietcommunicatie.

Je krijgt de nodige on the job training en wordt begeleid door ervaren collega's die je wegwijs maken in deze uitdagende en boeiende ICT-omgeving.

Wat heb je nodig?

Je bent in het bezit van een bachelor diploma in een ICT-richting. Je bent klantgericht, toegankelijk, hulpvaardig en je steekt graag de handen uit de mouwen. Je bent creatief in het zoeken naar oplossingen en je streeft naar een hoogstaand niveau van kwaliteit. Je kan de nodige discretie aan de dag brengen en je bent flexibel in tijd en plaats.

Je wil dit alles combineren met het onbekende en avontuurlijke door op regelmatige basis naar het buitenland te reizen, ter ondersteuning van onze projecten en schepen wereldwijd actief.
