Elk project is anders en telkens opnieuw wordt de optimale configuratie samengesteld. En als het niet bestaat, maken we het zelf

Your Role

Als Project Engineer binnen onze Technische Divisie sta je in voor het coördineren en opvolgen van uiteenlopende technische conversie- en ombouwprojecten teneinde de operationele beschikbaarheid van de schepen en equipment te garanderen. Dit in overeenstemming met de specificaties vooropgesteld vanuit de afdeling Operations en binnen de voorziene tijd en budget.
Je voornaamste taken en verantwoordelijkheden zijn:

  • Het voorbereiden van het bestek, de constructieplannen en alle relevante documenten met betrekking tot de ombouw;
  • Het beheren van de technische taken voor het aan jou toegewezen schip of meerdere schepen en equipment aan boord, in overleg met de Fleetmanager. Deze omvatten:
    - De technische voorbereiding van reparatie-, ombouw- en renovatieprojecten en het opvolgen van de uitvoering.
    - Het meewerken aan het opvolgen, bijsturen en goedkeuren van de ontwerpwerkzaamheden en de technische aankopen met betrekking tot een ombouwproject.
    - Het opstellen van het budget voor de ombouw en controleren/bijsturen tijdens en na de ombouw.
    - Het instaan voor de selectie van de scheepswerf en subcontractors en verzorgen van de contractuele relatie.
  • Het opbouwen en onderhouden van contacten met de diverse interne afdelingen (o.a. Operations, Ontwerp en Marine Engineering, Logistiek) alsook extern met leveranciers, onderaannemers, scheepswerven om de ombouw, modificaties en logistieke activiteiten adequaat uit te voeren.

Je bent tewerkgesteld vanuit onze centrale kantoren te Aalst/Hofstade en bent bereid om, in functie van de fase en noden op het project, naar het buitenland te reizen voor kortere periodes (meestal 2-3 weken). Dit om o.a. de activiteiten op te volgen bij lokale scheepswerven of met leveranciers en onderaannemers.

Wat heb je nodig?

Je hebt een opleiding genoten als burgerlijk ingenieur werktuigbouwkunde of elektromechanica en beschikt over een eerste relevante werkervaring, bijvoorbeeld binnen maintenance of gelijkwaardig technisch domein. Je hebt een brede technische kennis en bent in staat op korte termijn jouw kennis toe te passen op de installaties voor onze schepen.

Je hebt een analytische geest en beschikt over sterke communicatieve vaardigheden, die nodig zijn om binnen een zeer dynamische omgeving, projecten tot een succesvol einde te brengen. Je bent organisatorisch en planmatig ingesteld en houdt van technische uitdagingen. Je hebt een probleemoplossend vermogen. Je kan je vlot uitdrukken in het Engels.
