We are looking for a Senior Consultant who will take on the following responsibilities:• You provide the technical design & validation of the ICT solutions (Servers, Storage and Hypervisor) for our customers and ourselves.• You broaden and maintain your knowledge of the various systems and solutions in terms of Compute, Storage, Backup, Hypervisor technology and maintain close contact with suppliers to be aware of new applications and products.• You are responsible for the installation of the systems, both at hardware level and in software.• You work closely with the project manager and are the technical expert in the implementation of the project.• After installation, you give the customer a hands-on, on-site training on the various functionalities of our solutions; • You are responsible for working out and solving common problems with existing installations (2nd & 3rd line support).• You are open to eventually working in a 24/7• You follow the necessary training courses annually that give access to certifications within the framework of the necessary knowledge within the function.Job requirements• You have a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent through experience;• You can rely on at least 5 years of experience in a similar function; • Your technical knowledge includes:o Enterprise grade HPE, Dell server knowledge (compute, type rack mount servers or blade)o Enterprise grade HPE, Dell storage solutions incl. SAN Switchingo Experience in setting up and managing large redundant compute/storage setups across multiple locationso Experience with Backup solutions such as VEEAM and/or Commvaulto In-depth knowledge of Windows Server environmentso In-depth knowledge of virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V, ..)o Interest and attention for Cybersecurityo Basic knowledge of network technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN)o Basic knowledge of Linux is a plus• You can work in a customer-oriented manner, can consult well with colleagues and customers, but can also put the necessary matters on paper (documentation);• You have a fluent knowledge of Dutch (speaking and writing) and French (speaking) (and are willing to increase your knowledge of the other national language if necessary);• You are flexible and mobile for travel throughout Belgium.Additional informationCompetitive salary and extensive fringe benefits such as (company car, meal vouchers, insurance,...).Opportunities for professional development and obtaining certificates.A stimulating and safe working environment with respect for VCA** certificates.Flexible working hours and the possibility of working from home.We help make your world a safer place.
