Your mission:
bpost is embarking on a transformative journey to establish a leading position in the B2B specialized logistics services sector, creating a seamless end-to-end (E2E) offer. This project is part of a large transformation initiative designed to make bpost a digital company active in regional parcel logistic services. To spearhead this pivotal initiative, our seasoned B2B Sales and Marketing Director will lead new business development with the following responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Develop and execute the sales strategy to position bpost as a leader in B2B specialized logistics services. Work across several verticals and build strategic alliances with market leaders in the segments where we operate. Implement key account management best practices and set up new standards to deliver according to our 4 strategic pillars: quality, digitalization, innovation, and customer centricity.
- Marketing Leadership: Build the B2B marketing organization including go-to-market strategy, product management, market communication, and business intelligence. Lead detailed cost analysis and pricing strategy. Drive new product launches.
- Sales Interface with Other Functions: Work closely with new product development, customer care, operations, and finance departments.
- Contract Negotiation: Assist the sales team in contract negotiating ensuring long-term success and profitability.
- Business Reporting: Define and monitor sales KPIs. Manage comprehensive sales reporting to monitor, adjust, and drive forward our strategic goals.
Your profile:
We do not only deliver letters and parcels, but also opportunities. This job is open to all with diverse backgrounds and talents, possessing the following skills:
- Education: Master's degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Economics with a strong track record in new business development.
- Experience: Over 15 years of experience in managing sales and marketing teams for revenue streams exceeding €400 million. Proven track record in new business development and commercial excellence. Experience in key account management, sales pipeline management and CRM.
- Strategic Mindset: Demonstrate a strong ability to think strategically, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and internal capabilities to drive business growth and innovation. Make informed decisions based on financial data.
- Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience across multiple industries such as retail, engineering and tooling, healthcare, and re-commerce sectors. High learning agility.
- Leadership: Strong experience in team and talent management, capable of leading senior teams and fostering an environment of growth and innovation.
- Collaborative Mindset: Exceptional ability to work collaboratively across various departments and teams, facilitating open communication and fostering a culture of mutual respect and shared success.
- Languages: Fluency in English, French and Dutch.
