IntroductionWe are looking for a freelance Data Engineer to support the refactoring of a legacy application and the migration of its data towards a modern architecture. You will focus on data quality, transformation, and migration reliability.TasksAnalyse existing data models and data flowsAssess data quality and identify inconsistenciesDesign and support data migration and transformation processesValidate target database schemas and migrated dataDefine data quality checks and support testing activitiesCollaborate with development and analysis teamsDocument data rules, transformations, and decisionsRequirementsStrong experience with relational databases (DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL)Proven experience in data migration projectsSolid knowledge of relational data modellingExperience with ETL/ELT tools and data transformation scripting (SQL, Python)Familiarity with Java environments and version control (Git)Understanding of data security and compliance principlesAutonomous, detail-oriented, and strong communicatorFluent in French & EnglishExtraFull-timeLocation: BrusselsHybrid remote policy (2days in the office - 3 days remote)Freelance contract: 6 months (+extension)
