For our logistics team in Schelle, Belgium, we are currently recruiting a Transport Planner.
Position Purpose
As a Transport Planner, you manage transport planning for mainly Dutch-speaking regions and support other areas in Europe. You optimize routes, reduce costs, and collaborate with partners to enhance logistics and customer satisfaction across our European operations.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the transport planning of our assets primarily within the Dutch speaking regions, as well as back-up for other regions in Europe.
- You liaise with our logistical partners and internal stakeholders.
- You optimize routes and transport, reducing freight spend and carbon footprint.
- You proactively work towards maximizing our service level, customer satisfaction and achieving departmental and personal objectives.
- As Transport Planner, you are part of an enthusiastic European team that works together on the continuous improvement and optimization of our logistics across Europe.
Education and experience
- You obtained training as an industrial clerk, office management assistant or acquired equivalent knowledge through experience in a Customer Support position. Motivation, passion for transportation and logistics, and the ability to learn are more important than years of experience.
Skills
- Excellent Dutch skills, both written and spoken. Knowledge of any other language is considered a plus.
- You are well organized, and you take care of your administration in a transparent and efficient way.
- You show initiative and you have a healthy level of self-confidence.
- You have thorough knowledge of the MS Office applications with a focus on Excel.
- You are an enthusiastic team player, and you bring a positive attitude to the entire Tosca team.
