The Opportunity:

We're seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our growing European rental team, focusing on the Benelux region. Based in Belgium, you'll be part of an 8-person European rental team with established depots across the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and Belgium. This is an exciting opportunity to build and develop a territory with significant growth potential, particularly in the thriving data centre sector.

The Role:

Working alongside our depot team in Belgium and reporting to the European Rental Sales Manager, you'll have the opportunity to shape and grow our market presence in the Benelux region. You'll be supported by a strong operational team including engineers and office staff, while collaborating with an international network of professionals across our European locations.

The Ideal Candidate:

We're looking for an ambitious, self-driven professional who thrives on building relationships and identifying new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be hands-on, comfortable with both strategic planning and day-to-day administration, and excited about developing a territory through active field sales. Strong English language skills are essential, while Dutch/Flemish and French language abilities are advantageous.

Package:

  • Competitive base salary of up to €70,000 with potential for €30,000 additional performance-based earnings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the overall business growth strategy with main focus on datacentres
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients and expand the client base effectively
  • Building strong networks with customers, industry professionals, vendors, and market key players
  • Screening and evaluating potential business opportunities through market analysis
  • Collaborating with rental department, sales and marketing teams for market research
  • Attending specialised events and conferences
  • Closing new business deals through contract negotiation and requirement coordination
  • Protecting organisational value through confidentiality
  • Developing personal competencies through continuous learning
  • Enhancing organisation reputation through value-added accomplishments

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience, ideally within a similar industry
  • Excellent prospecting, communication, negotiation, and planning skills
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities
  • Proven territory management experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
  • Self-motivated with ability to work under pressure
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Strong English language skills, with ideally some French & Dutch
