About the Role

We are looking for a Full-Stack Java Developer to strengthen our team on projects in the public sector. You’ll contribute to the development and evolution of cloud-based applications used by a mix of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve web applications used by public and internal stakeholders
  • Deliver end-to-end features across frontend (UI) and backend (APIs, data layer) in an Agile/SAFe context
  • Contribute to cloud-native engineering practices (CI/CD, containers, microservices)
  • Design and implement application logic, data models, and integrations
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and stakeholder teams to deliver valuable increments

Qualifications & Experience

Professional Experience

  • Experience in full-stack development in a product/team environment
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Infomation Technology, Engineering or a related field.

Technical Requirements

  • Frontend: Angular, HTML5/TypeScript, RxJS
  • Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, Spring Batch
  • APIs & Security: REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2/OIDC
  • Cloud & Delivery: One major cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes (AKS/EKS/GKE)
  • Data: Relational DBs (SQL Server/PostgreSQL/MySQL), data modeling fundamentals
  • Tooling: Git, Maven (or Gradle)
  • Domain (nice-to-have): GIS concepts and spatial data types
  • Ways of working: Agile delivery in iterative teams

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
  • Comfortable collaborating across teams and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in French, Dutch and English
