We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to design, enhance, and evolve our organization's software architecture. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, ensuring that security, scalability, and performance are integrated from the design phase.
Key Responsibilities:- Architectural Design & Analysis: Audit existing systems, anticipate risks, and define robust software architectures at both functional and technical levels.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Gather requirements from business, users, and developers to create an optimal architecture that aligns with business objectives.
- Implementation Oversight: Ensure alignment between designed architecture and real-world implementation, advising on best practices and methodologies.
- Technology Strategy & Decision-Making: Support the IT Director in making critical technology choices and staying ahead with emerging technologies.
- Standardization & Governance: Define and implement IT architecture frameworks, methodologies, and standards.
- Scalability & Cost Control: Ensure solutions are scalable, cost-efficient, and aligned with business growth.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Conduct technological research, develop prototypes, and recommend cutting-edge solutions (RFI, RFP).
- Strong expertise in design patterns and tools: SPRING, Angular, Git/GitLab, Keycloak, REST API, API Gateway, Web Services, RPG, Message Queues.
- Proficiency in databases such as DB2 and relational database systems.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift environments.
- Expertise in Microservices & Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
- Collaborative leadership style, with a focus on teamwork and knowledge sharing.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability in a dynamic environment with evolving roles and responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as an IT Application Architect.
- Strong understanding of secure network environments and best practices in enterprise IT architecture.
