Are you an experienced Finance Operations professional with strong Accounts Payable expertise and proven people management skills? A growing international biotechnology company is looking for a Team Lead AP & Finance Operations to strengthen its Finance Operations team in Ghent.
In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay process, combining operational leadership, team management and continuous improvement. You will lead an international team while remaining hands-on in complex cases and process-related matters.
Your responsibilities :
- Lead, coach and develop the AP & Finance Business Support team, managing workload, capacity and performance across different locations.
- Oversee the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay process, including PR support, PO creation, invoice processing and payments.
- Act as a process and systems expert, supporting the team with complex cases, escalations and operational challenges.
- Monitor KPIs and SLAs and take action to maintain service quality and operational efficiency.
- Ensure consistent P2P processes, internal controls and compliance across entities.
- Act as a key contact for business users, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Drive process standardisation, automation and continuous improvement, including invoice automation and touchless processing.
- Work closely with Finance, Procurement and other stakeholders on process improvements, system projects and audits.
Your profile :
- You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
- You have around 10 years of experience in Finance Operations or P2P, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- You have srong knowledge of Accounts Payable and end-to-end P2P processes.
- You have experience managing teams in an international or multi-country environment.
- You are comfortable working with ERP systems, ideally Oracle Cloud, and AP automation tools.
- You are fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
