Your team and your responsibilitiesTeam description
Toyota Motor Europe R&D Centre is responsible for:
- Developing vehicles and making concept proposal for EU core models
- Reflecting EU technology to Toyota Vehicles timely by utilizing location advantage and strong network with EU partners.
Electronics Engineering Design Division is responsible for the design & installation of Body Electronics parts (Instrument cluster, switches, …) and Multimedia parts (Radio, speakers, …) for European vehicles from concept phase to serial production.
Your responsibilities
- Design and develop EE parts in order to achieve performance, quality and cost targets
- Investigate & define necessary requirements for power electronics components
- Creation and maintenance of hardware, software, mechanical and electrical part specifications
- Layout EE parts in the vehicle and prepare installation + production drawings
- Co-operate with suppliers and Toyota stakeholders to secure production feasibility of parts
- Secure regulation compliance and collaborate with Homologation department
- Support plant production and quality engineers to solve the concerns raised during production trials or mass production
- Benchmark competitors' products & propose ideas for product and cost improvement
- You are fluent in English (TME's business language)
- You have a master in Mechatronics/Electromechanics/Electronics Engineering
- You have good people (soft) skills and can comfortably discuss / negotiate with other stakeholders internally and externally
- You have experience in development of Mechatronics/Electronics parts in a professional environment
- You have experience with following tools:
- CAD system such as Catia (Design and simulation)
- Design FMEA
- Modelisation-simulation tool such as Matlab
- Programming language such as Python
- CAN Bus simulation tool such as CANoe
- You have minimum 1 experience in industrial engineering in the automotive sector or in an industrial mass production environment
- You are able to travel for business on occasional basis
