We are looking for an experienced temporary part time teacher to teach within our Art, Design and Technology Faculty. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach one of the subject specialisms within the faculty, and may provide the flexibility to offer more than one subject. The Faculty The Art, Design and Technology (DT) Faculty at BSB is newly formed and combines the departments, Art and Design, DT:Product Design and DT:Textiles. It is built on the foundation of a long history of exceptional outcomes for our students in these subject areas. The faculty teaches all years across Key stage 3,4 and 5 (Years 7-13). The successful applicant will: set the highest standards in terms of learning and teaching, getting the very best from students from all backgrounds and of all abilities; work closely with department colleagues in creating a sense of cohesion and collaborative spirit within the department and co-operate with colleagues in other departments and the Primary School; be attuned to current developments in the teaching of Art and Design; be appreciative of students' differing cultural and linguistic backgrounds; have good ICT skills professionally and pedagogically; demonstrate the highest standards in terms of learning and teaching; be willing and able to contribute wholeheartedly to the social and personal development of students and to the extra-curricular life of the school; and be willing to take an active part in school trips, both residential and day visits; The Person: Qualified Teacher Commitment to the BSB Guiding Statements Committed to achieving the best at all times for BSB students Belief that in learning and in life more is achieved together than alone Committed to the safety and wellbeing of BSB students.
