The Key Account Management Team at Alan:

Our Account Management team's purpose is to make our key accounts stay and grow with Alan. We created the team in 2023 and have 3 people in it today in Belgium. We are looking for several amazing people to help us take care of our growing customer base in Belgium. We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle big problems

Your mission as a Key Account Manager:
  • Handle a portfolio of strategic accounts and flagship companies.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with key stakeholders and display a customer-centric approach to identify the main needs and allow our clients to achieve their goals through Alan.
  • Proactively identify potential signals of dissatisfaction and implement solutions to address them.
  • Ensure successful onboarding of new accounts and promote Alan's health partner positioning to generate massive adoption by employees and admins.
  • Analyze and present consumption reports to customers through business reviews.
  • Identify and execute out-of-the-box initiatives to engage our existing customers.
  • Be in charge of cross-selling/upselling our portfolio to address customer needs and pain points.
  • Renegotiate contracts to guarantee both great value for money to our customers and sustainable profitability.
  • Participate in the evolution of our products and services, acting as the voice of our customers when discussing with Product teams.
  • Support new customer acquisition by promoting our Key Account Management program to prospects and partnering with Sales teams.

The role will initially be 100% focused on upselling a dedicated portfolio of customers, requiring a strong mix of sales and account management skills. Once this upsell campaign comes to an end, you will gradually transition into a more traditional Key Account Management role.

Profile:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role (Sales, Account Management, Key Account Management, Pre-Sales) with frequent interactions with C-Levels.
  • Excellent track record - we are looking for over-performers.
  • Experience working with companies of more than 200 employees.
  • Strong interest in the healthcare sector (and in Alan) will be strongly appreciated.
  • Previous experience in Insurance or any industry linked to benefits is a plus (but definitely not a must-have).
Hard skills:
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Time Management.
  • Positive lobbying: ability to identify key influential figures and to cultivate and grow a network.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & oral in both Dutch and/or French & English), preferably bi-lingual (French & Dutch).
  • Good problem-solving skills (problem structuring and identification of relevant solutions).
  • Analytical skills (ability to draw structured and data-based reports from our activity).
  • Structured with exceptional follow-up skills.
If you recognize yourself in the below criteria, then you must be a great fit
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role including frequent interactions with C-Levels.
  • You are fluent both in French and English, being perfectly bilingual Dutch/French is a strong plus.
  • You are experienced in dealing with companies of more than 200 employees.
  • You have the tact and empathy that make great negotiators.
  • You are an expert in positive lobbying with key stakeholders and create long-term relationships based on trust and transparency.
  • You are analytical and love to solve problems in order to delight our members.
  • You have great active listening skills and are a master in the art of crafting the right follow-up message.
  • You have a growth mindset: you are able to adapt to new trends and to develop an in-depth understanding of the health insurance market.
It is nice to have:

A previous experience in Insurance or any industry linked to benefits (but definitely not a must-have).
