Business Development Manager - European Institutions

As a Business Development Manager (AKA Client Partner) at Randstad Digital, you can expect a challenging and dynamic job, where you get the chance to work with talented and motivated teams.

We are hiring an experienced people leader and sales expert to lead and grow our engagement with European Institutions with a specific focus on the European Commission.

As the primary point of contact, you will drive strategic relationships, identify business opportunities, and ensure the successful delivery of our talent services & solutions that align with the Commission's goals and initiatives.

In this role, you will be responsible for the entire sales cycle for European Institutions, nurturing and expanding business with existing clients, and building relationships with new clients.

How will you achieve that goal?

  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding the Commission's priorities and aligning them with our talent services and solutions.
  • Manage overall account planning as the 'voice and partner of Randstad Digital'.
  • Enhance customer engagement and satisfaction through a robust after-sales process.
  • Monitor market trends, policy developments, and budget cycles to identify new opportunities.
  • Align different departments to meet commercial objectives and achieve revenue targets through a clear strategy.
  • Lead in creating and managing consortia as needed.

So what are we looking for?

  • Deep understanding of the European Commission's structure, processes, and decision-making mechanisms.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across European Commission Directorates-General, Agencies, and other institutions.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in Account Management – with a focus on IT services or solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the digital industry in which clients operate.
  • Experience in developing tailored proposals and tender responses for EU opportunities.
  • Experience in managing teams.
  • A strategic thinker with analytical skills and a hands-on mentality.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
