Under the direct supervision of a clinical services shift leader, the Clinical Research Generalist provides the upfront delivery of clinical research care to participants within the Brussels Clinical Research Unit (CRU). Their core duties include performing hands-on data collection, including the measurement of high-volume activities often required in clinical research studies at the CRU. They will work individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to maintain participant safety and data integrity. In our flexible organization support is given across functional group/departments by, but not limited to, performing PIF calls, updating volunteer database, stock management, assisting in sample management…Main DutiesFor clinical services:Responsible for data and sample collection (i.e., electrocardiograms (ECGs), Vital Signs (V/S), venipuncture, etc.). executing clinical research studies in accordance with protocol requirements and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, work instructions, and process maps.Responsible for performing data checks on all their collected data for accuracy and completeness, as well as maintaining source documentationObserves and communicates study participants clinical adverse events with referral to medical providers and nursing personnel for evaluation & treatmentProvides limited instructions and assistance to clinical research participants. Provides safe and ethical care for clinical research participants within the scope of professional licensure and/or certificationParticipates in all required clinical training and maintains up-to-date records and transcripts.For Laboratory:Sample management including generation of labelsCompletion of documentationReview, file, reconcile and maintain documentation in accordance to GDP standardsMaintaining reagent and consumable inventoryFor recruitment:Perform prescreening on the phoneAssist in updating/cleaning participants database
