For a customer in Ghent, I am searching for a medior freelance Automation Engineer to work in a Project Team responsible for solving alarms, implementing changes and supporting the customer onsite. It is a GMP environment so candidates should have exposure to highly regulated environments, ie. pharmaceutical, automotive, manufacturing etc. Responsibilities Develop and implement control strategies for industrial processes in line with project specifications and industry standards. Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation systems to improve reliability and performance. Prepare and review technical documentation, including control system architecture, wiring diagrams, HMI designs, and testing protocols. Profile Education in electrical engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields. Good knowledge around Siemens software (TIA Portal, PCS7, WinCC, and Step7). Good knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols. Exposure to EMS/BMS (environment monitoring systems/building monitoring systems), HVAC or the pharmaceutical sector is a considerable advantage. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.
