Automation Engineer – Robotics & Machine Building | Ghent - €3,500 - €6,500 Gross + Company CarOur Automation Department currently consists of three dedicated team members: a department head, one automation engineer, and one electrical engineer.We are now entering an exciting phase of expansion, aiming to grow this department to around eight members in the long term.To support this growth and strengthen our position in the machine building & robotics sector, we are looking for a Commercial Automation Engineer.Job DescriptionProgram PLCs in Tia Portal and BeckhoffDefine the department's future strategy together with the department head;Actively identify and develop new business opportunities within the robotics and machine building sectors;Build long-term relationships with clients, research partners, and suppliers;Prepare quotations and technical proposals in close collaboration with the department head;ProfileBachelor's or Master's degree in Electromechanics, Automation, or a related engineering field;Ideally some experience in automation, preferably within machinery, robotics, or high-precision environments;Independent, structured, and results-oriented, with a passion for automation, programming and ideally business development.OfferA challenging and future-focused position within a rapidly growing industry;A sense of autonomy and impact on the department's strategic development;Competitive salary package of €3,500-€6,500 gross with extra-legal benefits (company car, meal vouchers, group insurance, mobile phone, laptop, etc.);Commission on projects won, such as €1,000,000 project gets €10,000 Gross (or better tax alternative)Opportunities for professional growth and involvement in cutting-edge machinery and automation projects.
