Azure Cloud Engineer – Freelance – Infrastructure as Code – HybridAzure Cloud Engineer – Contract DetailsContract type: FreelanceDuration: Long-term mission (12 months, extension possible)Start date: ASAPWork mode: Hybrid – 3 days remote / 2 days on-siteA large-scale technology organisation operating modern cloud platforms is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer (freelance) to strengthen its cloud and platform engineering team.The mission takes place in a cloud-native, DevOps-driven environment, with a strong emphasis on automation, scalability, and reliability.Azure Cloud Engineer – Mission ContextAs an Azure Cloud Engineer (freelance), you will work alongside platform and DevOps engineers to design, build, and operate automated cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.You will contribute to the evolution of cloud foundations and ensure robust, secure, and scalable platforms supporting business-critical workloads.Azure Cloud Engineer – Infrastructure as Code (IaC)As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will:Design, build, and maintain Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modulesTranslate architecture designs into clean, maintainable infrastructure codeContribute to standardisation and industrialisation of Azure environmentsAzure Cloud Engineer – Cloud Platform & ContainersAs an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will work on:Deployment and security of distributed cloud applicationsContainerised environments (Docker) and orchestration with Kubernetes / AKSEnterprise-scale IaaS and PaaS platformsCloud networking, security, high availability, and landing zone conceptsAzure Cloud Engineer – DevOps & AutomationAs an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will:Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform componentsApply DevOps and GitOps practices (infra-as-code, config-as-code, policy-as-code)Automate operational processes to improve reliability and delivery speedSupport development and engineering teams with cloud enablementAzure Cloud Engineer – Monitoring & ReliabilityAs an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will:Monitor availability, performance, and health of cloud platformsImplement logging, monitoring, and observability solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environmentsAzure Cloud Engineer – Required ProfileThe ideal Azure Cloud Engineer (freelance) has:Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft AzureProven expertise in Terraform / Infrastructure as CodeExperience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)Solid understanding of cloud networking and security conceptsExperience with CI/CD tools and automation pipelinesScripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar)Ability to work autonomously in structured, enterprise environmentsAzure Cloud Engineer – Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHands-on and pragmatic mindsetAbility to document and explain technical solutions clearlyStrong communication skills and team spiritContinuous learner with interest in modern cloud technologies
