We are currently looking for our new Head of Finance & Administration, position reporting directly to the National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Belgium, and based in Brussels. As Head of Finance & Administration, you will be part of the Coordination Team of the NGO, will contribute to the definition of the strategic targets and make sure that these strategies and plans are financially sound. Responsibilities Preparing and presenting the annual accounts, management accounts, budget, forecasts and mid‑term plans to the different platforms: Management Team, Board of Directors, Audit Committee, Committee of Prevention and Protection at Work, colleagues working in the head office. Quarterly controlling and reporting of fundraising results, project costs, overhead expenses and strategic action plans. Provide financial support, guidance and advice to programme teams, including responsibility for financial reporting to public funding authorities for Belgian projects. Ensure the implementation of appropriate internal controls, follow up on compliance and risk management matters, and, within the integrity policy framework, take responsibility for asset management. Managing the financial and administration team (direct and indirect) and ensure that all are engaged in the department initiatives. The general administration of the association, i.e. supervising the work of the external IT provider, management of insurances, contract management, legacies and making sure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met. Representing SOS Children’s Villages Belgium internationally, in our international platform dealing with financial topics, and externally. Profile required Full buy in of SOS Children’s Villages' vision, mission and programmes. At least 10 years of experience in a Finance position, with ability to lead and organize teamwork, gaining buy‑in and creating enthusiasm. Master in Economics / Finance (or equivalent). Able to establishing a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including auditors from public donors and external auditors. Languages : C1 and/or C2 in French, Dutch and English ‑ Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
