With a strong international footprint and a genuine people-first culture, we are guided by our values of People, Knowledge, and Innovation, and we invest in our people so they can grow, thrive, and make a real impact.Your Responsibilities as Head of LegalLegal Counsel & Strategic AdviceProvide expert legal guidance to leadership on a wide range of matters, including business transactions, contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation, and legislative developments.Monitor and interpret new and evolving legislation, identifying business risks and opportunities arising from regulatory change.Translate complex legal topics into clear, pragmatic advice aligned with business objectives.Risk Management & ComplianceIdentify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across the organization.Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.Implement and oversee ethics and compliance programs, ensuring awareness and adherence throughout the organization.Contract & Commercial LawOversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, ensuring alignment with legal, commercial, and strategic objectives.Support business teams in structuring agreements that balance opportunity, compliance, and risk.Litigation & Dispute ManagementManage legal disputes and litigation, either internally or in collaboration with external legal counsel.Define legal strategy, monitor proceedings, and manage external legal spend.Corporate Governance, ESG & External RepresentationOversee legal aspects of corporate governance, ensuring compliance with corporate laws, internal policies, and governance frameworks.Engage with industry associations on legal and compliance matters affecting the sector.Contribute to ESG-related topics and reporting alignment (a strong asset), ensuring consistency with group standards and regulatory expectations.Business PartnershipAct as a true business partner to leadership, business units, and support functions.Build trusted relationships across the organization, enabling informed, legally sound decision-making.Demonstrate strong curiosity for the business and industry, staying connected to operational realities and market trends.Legal Team Leadership & SuccessionLead, develop, and inspire the legal team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.Build and maintain a strong succession pipeline, ensuring continuity and long-term capability within the legal function.Foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous learning.Your Background & ExperienceMaster’s degree in Law Significant experience in a law firm, with exposure to complex legal matters and high professional standards.Proven experience as an in-house lawyer within a mid-sized to large enterprise, preferably a multinational or internationally active organization.Strong expertise in labor and employment law, combined with solid knowledge of commercial law.Demonstrated ability to advise senior leadership and influence strategic decisions.Experience balancing legal rigor with business pragmatism.Exposure to ESG, governance, or compliance reporting is a strong plus.LanguagesFull professional proficiency in Dutch, French, and English, enabling effective communication with local and international stakeholders.What You Can Expect at ManpowerGroupAttractive salary, aligned with your experienceCompany car & fuel cardMeal vouchers & eco vouchersBonus systemCafeteria plan with flexible benefitsGroup & hospitalization insurance32 vacation daysFlexible working arrangements, including remote work optionsLead with integrity.
