This role is based in Brussels and follows a hybrid schedule, with in-office collaboration encouraged.What You'll Do Be part of a high‐performing team that designs and develops Robotics products to Protect LifeArchitect, design and develop software and algorithms for Drones, Rovers and other RobotsDevelop in C/C++, Rust for resource‐constrained embedded systems and prototype with PythonIntegrate sensors and actuators, implement complex logic and autonomous behaviorDesign and develop new use cases on robots, translating requirements into features and testsImplement robotics use cases in ROS2 and custom robotics frameworksEnsure high quality throughout the product lifecycle, designing and implementing unit tests, integration tests and CI pipelinesHands‐on prototyping, development and debugging across all stages of the product lifecycleCollaborate with distributed hardware, software, firmware, control systems, manufacturing and compliance teamsBe a team player, mentor and strong communicator, ready to support the team when neededWhat You Bring Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Robotics or equivalentIndustry experience building Drones, Rovers or other RobotsExperience with C/C++, Python and/or RustTrack record of bringing commercial robotic devices to the marketDeep understanding of ROS2, its execution model, messaging middleware, debugging and performance analysis toolsStrong experience with robotics simulation tools such as GazeboExperience with Userspace Linux kernel development and performance optimizationUnderstanding of systems architecture, multi‐device interrelated systemsUnderstanding of operating systems, concurrency and networking conceptsUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and QA processesSolid software engineering fundamentals (algorithms, data structures)Experience with computer vision (VIO/SLAM), control systems, machine learning, path planning, or trajectory optimizationExperience with or interest in drones, MAVLink, PX4 or other flight control systemsExperience with sensor peripherals (accelerometers, time‐of‐flight, magnetometer, cameras)Familiarity with cryptographic primitives (AES, Root of Trust, Secure Boot)Nice to Have Experience with ZeroMQ, Zenoh, iceoryxExperience with the Yocto build systemBare‐metal firmware development on MCUsLinux kernel and driver developmentBenefits Competitive base salary30 vacation days per yearAnnual bonus eligibilityRestricted stock unit eligibilityPrivate health insuranceEmotional & mental wellness supportLearning & development programsFree snacks in officesBenefits listed may vary by employment type and location.
