Big Data Software Developer

Als een Big Data Software Developer draag je bij aan de bescherming van onze natie door softwaremodules te ontwikkelen voor een Digital Forensics-as-a-Service-softwareplatform (DFaaS). Dit platform verwerkt een enorme hoeveelheid gegevens die tijdens forensische analyses van digitale media verzameld worden.
- Te onderzoeken welke sporen in een extractie door het platform ontbreken om vervolgens softwaremodules te ontwikkelen die deze ontbrekende sporen parsen;
- De workflow van de klant van het platform te verbeteren door integraties, tools en gebruikersinterfaces te ontwikkelen;
- De deployment van het platform te optimaliseren door scripts te schrijven en door de CD/CI pipeline te onderhouden;
- Vooruitgang te communiceren aan en prioriteiten te stellen met klanten;
- Op de hoogte te blijven van evoluties in het platform en het DF/DFaaS/DevOps-landschap;
- Procedures te documenteren en evalueren en aan de rest van het team te communiceren.
Dit is niet de gemiddelde computerwetenschappen-, ingenieurs- of IT-job. Als lid van het Digital Forensics Big Data-team ben je nauw betrokken bij forensische onderzoeken en procedures en werk je binnen een duidelijk omschreven wettelijk kader. Daarnaast neem je deel aan het onderhoud en beheer van de on-premise deployment van het platform.
Profielomschrijving
- Je bent in het bezit van een Master of Bachelor diploma in IT, of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
- Je hebt de Belgische nationaliteit en komt in aanmerking voor een Belgische, NAVO en EU veiligheidsmachtiging van het niveau Top Secret.
- Je bent bij voorkeur tweetalig (Nederlands, Frans) of je beschikt over voldoende kennis van het Frans om probleemloos deel te nemen aan vergaderingen met andere specialisten en/of vertegenwoordigers van de eindgebruikers.
- Een degelijke kennis van het technisch Engels is onontbeerlijk.
- Je hebt een zeer goede kennis en ervaring of certificeringen in de volgende technologieën en domeinen: Agile softwareontwikkelingstechnieken zoals het Scrum-framework, Programmeertalen: Python (inclusief PIP), Broncodeversiebeheer: Git, Continuous development & integration (CD/CI), Ubuntu: softwareverdeling (APT), opslag en gebruikersbeheer, Containerisatie: Docker, Kubernetes en Helm, Scriptingtalen: Bash of dergelijke, Netwerken: HTTP, SSH, TLS, TCP/IP en het OSI-model, Beveiliging: PKI, systeem- en netwerkbeveiliging, identiteits- en toegangsbeheer en toegepaste cryptografie.
- We beschouwen goede kennis of ervaring in het volgende als een pluspunt: Digitaalforensische artefacten voor Windows en LINUX, Digitaalforensische tools en procedures, Tekst-, beeld- en signaalverwerking, Natural language processing, Computer vision, Besturingssystemen: Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS of Android, Programmeertalen: Java, Kotlin, Scala of Swift, Gegevensbanken: Elasticsearch, Hadoop, PostgreSQL of Kafka, Deploymentautomatisatie: Ansible, Veilige praktijken zoals SDL, Beveiligingstools zoals Kali.
