Gate Gourmet Belgium NV is a part of the gategroup, the international leader in airline catering. Worldwide we have about 43.000 colleagues in over 60 countries where we offer our customers culinary excellence. The Brussels offices have been part of the group since end of 2020. However, we have been around since July 2002. Making us a staple at Brussels National airport. Currently we have about 470 people working for us in Belgium.To replace a colleague who is leaving the company, we are looking for a: DISPATCHER TRUCKING (M/V/X)What are your main duties and responsibilities?Entering orders, informing internal departments, following up and adjusting meals on board flights, monitoring and organizing the loading of all catering products.PlanningYou validate and confirm ordersYou process the orders for day +1, day +2, and day +3You process the flights from the previous day in preparation for invoicingYou maintain close contact with your colleagues from production and dispatchYou follow up and file documents and dataTrucking & Flight MonitoringYou process adjustments to same-day orders ("Change Monitor")You ensure the delivery of modified orders ("last-minute orders")You monitor flight data in IT systemsYou organize and optimize the loading of all catering onto aircraft, taking into account possible changes in aircraft type, position, departure, and/or arrival timeYou manage and allocate trucks and vehiclesYou direct the drivers and prepare their schedules for the next dayYou organize aircraft offloading, clearing of loading/unloading docks, and sending special shipmentsYou organize aircraft offloading, special shipments (e.g., VIP flights), and clearing of loading/unloading docksYou check and manage "seals" for sealing vehiclesYou document any delays that may occurYou prepare shift schedules for the night teamsWho are we looking for?We are looking for someone who feels at home in the nerve center of a logistics operation. Someone who, through clear communication, keeps the different parties informed and ensures that the customer is supplied on time and correctly.You have at least a secondary school diplomaYou have a strong sense of responsibility and are customer-oriented and independentYou are a strong communicator, able to manage in Dutch/French/EnglishYou can lead colleagues to ensure deliveries leave on timeYou are flexible and willing to work some weekends and public holidays, as well as in shiftsYou have strong problem-solving skills and can set prioritiesYou are computer literate (MS Office); specific software will be taught internallyYou hold a category B driver's license and have a clean criminal recordYou can work under pressure as the last link in the logistics chainThis is an exciting and challenging position in an international environment, where you will have the opportunity to build many internal and external contacts.
