Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst (Freelance)Location: Brussels / HybridContract Type: FreelanceLanguages: Fluent Dutch, French & EnglishStart Date: ASAPAbout the OpportunityDomani Group is seeking Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts to join exciting transformation programs within the financial services sector.In this role, you will act as the key bridge between business objectives and technology solutions, helping to shape, define, and deliver initiatives that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and strategic growth.Working within cross-functional Agile teams, you will translate business needs into actionable solutions, contributing directly to large-scale digital transformation and modernization programs.Mission ContextThe Business Analyst is central to ensuring that business strategy, technology design, and delivery execution remain aligned throughout project lifecycles.You'll collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Delivery Managers to define clear requirements, optimize processes, and support governance and quality assurance activities.As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll also mentor peers, facilitate decision-making, and bring a strategic view to portfolio priorities and solution design.Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements ManagementGather, analyze, and validate business, stakeholder, and system requirements.Define detailed user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.Maintain traceability and ensure requirements are aligned with business goals.Process & Change DesignAnalyze existing business processes and propose optimized workflows.Define target operating models and ensure smooth transition to new solutions.Evaluate and manage change requests throughout the delivery cycle.Project Support & DeliveryCollaborate with IT and business teams during design, testing, and implementation.Support Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) and ensure readiness for production.Contribute to project governance, reporting, and risk management.Strategic AlignmentEnsure consistency of approach across projects and domains.Support Product Owners in backlog prioritization and roadmap alignment.Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.Required Experience & KnowledgeEducation: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Business Analyst or Senior BA in technology-driven projects, ideally in financial services.Technical Skills:Proficient in conceptual modelling, business process mapping, and requirements documentation.Solid understanding of IT systems, data flows, and testing methodologies.Comfortable using MS Office, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent project tools.Domain Expertise:Background in banking, payments, cards, or cash management is a strong advantage.Understanding of data management, AI, or process automation is a plus.Specialization DomainsYou may focus on one or more of the following:Financial Services – Expertise in cards, payments, or treasury operations.Digital Transformation – Experience in customer journey redesign, process digitization, or data-driven decision-making.Technology & Innovation – Exposure to AI, analytics, and automation tools is highly valued.Soft SkillsAnalytical & Conceptual Thinker – Structured problem-solving and ability to simplify complex ideas.Communicator – Clear, confident, and empathetic in both written and spoken communication.Collaborative Mindset – Works well in Agile, multicultural, and cross-functional environments.Adaptable & Curious – Eager to learn and continuously improve ways of working.Leadership Potential – For senior roles, able to guide teams and influence stakeholders with vision and purpose.LanguagesDutch: Fluent (required)English: Fluent (required)French: Fluent (required for certain roles)Work ArrangementHybrid model: On-site presence in Brussels combined with remote flexibility.Why JoinAt Domani Group, we believe that business analysis is the foundation of every successful transformation.You'll be part of an innovative, multicultural team where strategic insight meets technological excellence.Join us to shape digital solutions that connect innovation, strategy, and impact — and play a key role in the ongoing evolution of the financial sector.
