This is a 12‑month freelance engagement, designed for elite builders ready to shape, deliver, and elevate mission‑critical applications. You’ll be at the heart of digital transformation, driving innovation and reliability in public sector technology. Why This Role Matters This role is pivotal in building and maintaining robust, scalable applications that power essential services. You’ll be solving complex business challenges, ensuring seamless user experiences, and enabling our client to deliver on their public mission. Your expertise will directly influence the quality, security, and future‑readiness of critical software systems. Key Responsibilities Design and develop new applications and features within the .NET ecosystem Enhance, maintain, and refactor existing codebases for performance and reliability Translate functional requirements into technical solutions and architecture Validate technical specifications in close collaboration with analysts Resolve bugs and incidents at Level 2, ensuring system stability Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a culture of excellence Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release management using Azure DevOps Write and execute comprehensive tests to guarantee quality and correctness Technical Skills WPF – Expert Entity Framework – Expert SQL – Confirmed WCF – Confirmed Other Requirements Proven experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments Strong ownership mindset and a passion for building impactful solutions Track record of mentoring and supporting junior team members Ability to work hybrid: 2 days on‑site in Brussels, 3 days remote Available full‑time for the project duration (12 months) Native proficiency in either Dutch or French Reading and understanding proficiency in the other national language Active professional English Bilingual profiles (Dutch & French) are highly valued Ready to build the future with us?
