Our tech stack includes Java 21+, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and Azure Cloud.You'll collaborate closely with a driven development team, designing software used by cities, municipalities, and police departments with real social impact.Your responsibilities:Lead the migration from legacy systems to a modern architectureDesign, develop, and maintain scalable Java applicationsMentor junior developers and contribute to a high-performance engineering cultureImplement best practices for testing, automation, and CI/CDCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutionsContribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmapsWho are we looking for?Must-have skills:Must speak Dutch as well as English fluently5+ years of hands-on experience in Java developmentStrong proficiency in Java 17+ (preferably Java 21) and Spring BootExperience with designing scalable systems and APIsCloud experience (Azure preferred)Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelinesStrong communication skills and a team mindsetPassion for writing clean, testable, and maintainable codeNice-to-have skills:Experience with Apache Camel or integration frameworksKnowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databasesSaaS or B2B software experienceFamiliarity with domain-driven and event-driven architectureThe impact you'll makeYour work will directly support cities and law enforcement agencies in building safer roads through automated traffic enforcement.
