Software Engineer (JavaScript / Angular)Location: Halle, Belgium (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite) Contract: 6 months to 1 year (extension likely) Start date: ASAP Industry: Retail / Logistics / Large-scale operationsAbout the roleOur client is a large, well-established organisation operating complex store and logistics environments across Belgium. They are currently scaling up a major digital initiative and rolling out new applications across multiple locations.To support this growth, they are urgently looking for a Software Engineer to join their development teams and contribute to modern, business-critical applications used daily in stores and logistics centers.This is a great opportunity to work on high-impact projects, using modern technologies, within a structured yet dynamic Agile environment.Your responsibilitiesAs a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:Developing and maintaining web applications linked to store and logistics IT architectureWorking with modern front-end technologies such as Angular (v20+), JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS/SCSSBuilding, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing applications to ensure optimal user experienceIntegrating applications with other platforms and internal software systemsCollaborating with backend technologies such as NodeJS, Java, and PythonInvestigating incidents, performing root cause analysis, proposing solutions, and following up on fixesWorking closely with developers, UX specialists, and business stakeholders in an Agile/SCRUM setupYour profileTechnical background:Strong knowledge of Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS/SCSS (including CSS animations)2–3 years of experience is sufficient; more senior profiles are also welcomeExperience with Git and GitLabBasic knowledge of Docker, WebSockets, and OpenShiftUX experience is a plusComfortable integrating front-end solutions with other software systemsPersonal skills:Hands-on and proactive, with a strong sense of initiativeTeam player who enjoys working in collaborative project teamsStrong analytical skills with the ability to keep an overviewSolution-oriented mindset, focused on delivering valueFamiliar with Agile and SCRUM ways of workingWhat’s on offerA long-term contract opportunity on a project that is scaling across multiple locationsHybrid working model: 2–3 days onsite in Halle, remaining days from home or regional officesWork on modern technologies within a stable, professional organisationImpactful role where your work is used in real operational environmentsCompetitive contract conditions with potential for extension
