Standard IT Support Specialist We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team in Brussels. In this role, you will be responsible for first- and second-line support, incident management, and problem analysis, ensuring excellent service delivery and a high rate of first-call resolution. The position involves both remote and on-site support, with a significant focus on customer satisfaction and operational best practices. Key Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for IT issues, providing first- and second-line support. Record, track, and manage incidents and requests; analyze escalated problems to find root causes. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues (hardware, software, network, etc.) in a timely manner. Reconfigure or install PC environments (Windows OS, applications). Perform testing and administration of applications to ensure optimal functionality. Document operational support procedures, contributing to the knowledge base. Draft technical documentation to capture troubleshooting steps, best practices, and solutions. Coordinate with system administration and database teams to address higher-level tasks. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., MEP IT Support) and fill in for other support roles as needed. Maintain a proactive mindset to identify and implement improvements in processes and tools. Uphold ITIL standards and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows-based systems. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Good understanding of mobile device platforms and core mobile applications. ITIL v4 Foundation (or higher) certification is mandatory. Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in IT support or service desk roles. Fluency in English and French (written and oral) is required. Additional fluency in German (written and oral) is required for a portion of the team. Knowledge of other official EU languages is an advantage. Excellent communication skills with a diplomatic, empathetic, and user-oriented approach. Highly autonomous with strong problem-solving skills.
