Senior Manual Testers (5 positions) – FPS Finance We are looking for five experienced Manual Testers to join a large-scale, strategic digitization project at FPS Finance. This is a long-term, full-time assignment within a complex and business-critical ICT environment. Assignment details Start date: March 2026 (April at the latest) Work regime: Full-time, partly remote Languages: French or Dutch, with good knowledge of English (preferably trilingual) Context You will be part of a multidisciplinary Agile team working on the modernization of a core FPS Finance application. The project involves transforming an existing monolithic system (with external modules) into a modern microservices architecture. The application domain is comparable to: Banking systems (payments, accounts, refunds) Accounting management systems You will be deployed in one of the priority areas: Accounting management Transactions and orders Business rules Interfaces Quality is monitored by an internal Test Coordinator, and you will follow guidelines from the central QA & Control team. Your assignment As a Senior Manual Tester, you are responsible for the end-to-end manual testing process within one project domain. You collaborate closely with functional analysts and developers and are involved in every user story from day one. Working method & responsibilities Drawing up test plans Designing test cases and test data sets Performing manual tests in the integration environment Recording, tracking, and documenting defects and bugs Performing exploratory testing and analyzing edge cases Testing from the end-user perspective Reporting on software quality to stakeholders (development, analysis, QA, management) Actively contributing to continuous quality improvement Coaching and supporting less experienced testers Active participation in Agile ceremonies Proactive communication about quality, risks, and findings Anticipation skills, organizational flexibility, and smooth communication between teams are essential in this role. Required competencies Generic (must-have) Minimum 8 years of demonstrable experience as a manual tester Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (ISTQB certification is a plus) Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments Excellent communication skills Experience in coaching within testing Technical (must-have) Experience with XRAY or similar test management tools Strong knowledge of JIRA and Confluence Basic understanding of programming logic Thorough knowledge of databases, test data, and SQL Experience with API testing (Postman, SoapUI) Understanding of API concepts such as: OpenAPI, Belgif, Idempotence, pagination, versioning, error handling, JSON, DLQ Experience testing message queuing systems (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ) Knowledge of Gherkin Experience with BDD and tools like Cucumber Plus points Knowledge of the structure and functioning of FPS Finance, especially AGPR / AAII Basic knowledge of Selenium and/or Playwright Proven experience as a test coach
