Generator Specialist

Location: Belgium - Will involve International travel
Job Type: Contractor

We are seeking an experienced Generator Specialist to join our team and support the overhaul and maintenance of Siemens & GE generators. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with rotor and stator exchanges, bearing replacements, and other generator maintenance tasks. If you have a strong technical background and are ready to take on challenging projects, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Overhaul Siemens & GE generators, including rotor and stator exchanges, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  2. Perform bearing replacements and repairs on a variety of generator models.
  3. Conduct in-depth diagnostic assessments and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  4. Collaborate with the team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and strategies.
  5. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all maintenance and overhaul activities.
  6. Provide technical support and expertise throughout the overhaul process, from preparation to completion.
  7. Assist in the planning and coordination of generator shutdowns and maintenance schedules.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Proven experience with Siemens & GE generator overhauls.
  2. Strong understanding of generator components and maintenance requirements.
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  4. Experience working with a variety of generator models and systems.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  7. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Relevant certifications or training in generator maintenance and repair.
  2. Previous experience in a similar role within the power generation or energy sector.
