About the Role:
To support the Used car team of a global automotive brand with European HQ in Brussels, we are looking for dynamic and motivated team member/project manager.
As the business model evolves, increase in Value Chain contribution is crucial to the sustainability of the European Automotive Sector. A key pillar to support this is the growth of the Used Car business for both the OEM and their captive finance company.
The main task is to assist the Management in assessing the current market conditions both from sales as well as financial services point of view, analyse and summarize collected information and consequently underpin the used car strategy going forward.
As next phase, support the implementation of this used car strategy across the European region.
Your responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Collect used car market data across various stakeholders @ HQ level
- Analyse the consolidated data set and ensure a harmonised understanding across all levels of the organisation
- Visit European subsidiaries to capture local market conditions in view of used car business activities
- Summarise all findings, derive best practices and align with Management the European strategy going forward based on all data and observations.
- Support Management in drafting Executive presentations and approval papers
- Support the implementation of the aligned used car strategy and supportive platform in selected pilot markets
- Following the learnings from the pilots, finetune the strategy and its embedded activities
- Support the roll-out of the used car strategy across all European markets
Across all the activities and tasks described above, the member is expected:
- To have strong skills in fact-finding and analysis/assessment
- To work and liaise closely and pro-actively with all relevant stakeholders
- To support strategy definition and implementation.
Your profile:
Education:
You hold a University degree (Business/Project Management) / MBA is a plus
Experience:
Min 3 years' experience - Automotive industry and specifically used car business.
Skills and competencies:
- Strong analytical skills
- Automotive and preferably used car experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Can work autonomously
- Excellent team player and collaboration skills
- Result driven and performance mindset
- Motivated and persevering.
- Open-minded and out-of-the-box thinking
- You are at ease with MS Office or commit to quickly learn (MS Excel & Powerpoint)
Language: Fluent in English (corporate language), any other European language is an added value
