At the Cobalt Institute (CI), we’re driving global progress by promoting the responsible, safe, and sustainable use of cobalt. Representing the cobalt industry and its entire value chain, CI engages with policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and the media to ensure cobalt’s vital role in the transition to a cleaner, more connected world. What you'll do You’ll play a central role in advancing CI’s communications and public affairs strategy across Europe and internationally. From political analysis and policy briefings to stakeholder engagement and event delivery, you’ll help position CI as a trusted voice on critical raw materials and sustainability. Your key responsibilities will include: Supporting the Heads of Government and Public Affairs and Communications in achieving CI’s global objectives. Coordinating CI’s Government Affairs and Communications committees to ensure smooth operations and timely follow-up. Drafting high-quality content for campaigns, briefings, and policy papers. Monitoring and analysing EU and global policy developments related to cobalt and critical minerals. Enhancing CI’s visibility through strategic content and proactive engagement. What you'll bring We’re looking for someone who combines political insight, communication skill, and organisational flair. A proactive, detail-oriented approach and confidence working across teams in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written English (knowledge of French or Mandarin is a plus). Essentials University degree in political science, international relations, communications, law, economics, or related field. Eligibility to work in the EU or UK.
