Initial 1 year contract (consultant) + possible extensions

The assignment
Drive Open Science & support researchers.
Implement Open Science principles through cross‐institutional collaboration and our client‐wide information management projects.
Lead the business adoption of the data catalog and business glossary and ensure they become an integral part of researchers' workflows.
Guide researchers in managing their information assets (datasets, definitions, reports, code, and machine‐learning models) using workshops, visual tools, training materials and a variety of communication channels.
Provide assistance in preparing and completing.
Data Management Plans and oversee their implementation within relevant projects.
Structure, Improve & Contribute to Information management.
Tooling Collaborate with ICT, researchers, and business stakeholders to gather needs, create prototypes, and validate tool capabilities.
Collect structured feedback, user insights, and improvement recommendations to selection, configuration, or enhancement of information management tooling.
Identify and develop improvements to policies, guidelines, standards, processes, templates, terminology, metadata, ... to help both research and business users work consistently and efficiently.
Design, set up and structure document libraries that support the information lifecycle in close collaboration with researchers.
Define and maintain ontologies that bring coherence to terminology and definitions across our client, create a supporting reference data management tool.

Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and visual — including the ability to explain complex concepts using diagrams and structured presentations.
Comfortable aligning diverse stakeholders and facilitating workshops, building and maintaining a strong network among researchers and project managers to proactively identify opportunities and needs.
Represent our client in Flemish Research Data Network activities related to data management plans and ontology development.

Experience Master's degree or equivalent experience.
2+ years of work experience OR demonstrated high potential as an analytically strong junior with the right mindset.
Affinity and interest in information/data governance and metadata management.
Working proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
SharePoint expertise is considered a great plus Software tool development is considered a plus.
Real experience setting up Sharepoint or using Power BI a plus.
