Senior Data Architect

For our client in the region of Leuven, we are looking for a Senior Data Architect.
As a Senior Data Architect, you have over 5 years of experience in designing and implementing data architecture:
- You focus on building solutions or services right and are passionate about building new solutions with new technologies;
- You plan and develop the architectural runway of enablers in support of new business features and capabilities, working directly with Agile teams to implement them;
- You enable the continuous delivery pipeline through appropriate design guidelines and investment advocacy;
- You work with portfolio stakeholders, notably the Enterprise Architect, to develop, analyze, split and realize the implementation of enabler epics;
- You participate in planning, definition and high-level design of the solution and exploration of solution alternatives.
- You are a certified data architect with knowledge of configuration of AWS services and Terraform scripting (infrastructure as code);
- You design and implement AWS networking/gateways, AWS Landing Zone setup;
- You have experience with lambda and container services, and design of highly complex AWS big data applications.

Our client is looking for someone to join their dynamic team to design, build, and maintain a cutting-edge, high-quality data platform on AWS. You will collaborate with business and IT partners to deliver secure, flexible and cost-efficient solutions. You will work alongside talented cloud engineers, data engineers, and data analysts, to enable seamless CI/CD pipelines to deploy platforms and data pipelines with precision and scalability.
Who are we looking for?
- +5 years of experience in Data Architecture
- Experience (or strong interest) in AWS, Data platforms, Python and Bash scripting, Terraform, Docker and Prometheus.
- Analytical & conceptual thinking
- Tactical & strategic planning
- Result & process driven
- Kubernetes for container orchestration
- CI/CD tools like Concourse
- Automation workflows using GitHub Actions
- Fluency in English (oral and written) is required
