Our offices, as well as production and warehouse, are located in Grobbendonk. We specialize in the development and production of organic fertilizers, soil improvers, biostimulants, and biological crop protection agents for the management of diseases and pests in plants. Together with a complementary product range of potting soils, covering materials, grass seeds, and technical materials, these are distributed to professional agriculture and horticulture as well as hobby gardeners through garden centers. We are a vertically integrated organization, which means that we manage our research and development, production, as well as our marketing ourselves.

In Belgium, we have become the market leader in organic fertilizers. Additionally, we are internationally present with branches in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Austria, and the United States. We export our products worldwide.

To strengthen our procurement department at DCM Belgium, we are looking for a Procurement Administrator.

Function
As a procurement administrator, after a training period, you will be jointly responsible for inventory management of certain products, ordering and logistics processing of external trade goods.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Ordering external trade goods and managing related logistical processes.
  • Monitoring internal and external deliveries and managing the administrative control/execution of these goods flows.
  • Following up on order confirmations and delivery times.
  • Requesting quotes and placing orders for POS materials.
  • Together with some colleagues, you will be responsible for the daily quality management of our delivered goods for optimal customer satisfaction.

You will oversee these processes from A to Z and will proactively and independently tackle your tasks. You will also ensure smooth collaboration and clear communication with the team and colleagues from purchasing, product management, marketing, and the warehouse. You will participate in backup duties, where you will also take over tasks from colleagues.

Profile

  • You preferably hold a Bachelor's degree in an administrative or logistical direction.
  • Additionally, you have some relevant work experience or are highly motivated to start your professional career with us.
  • You thrive in an administrative role within a logistical context where the focus is on control, analysis, data management, and follow-up.
  • You possess pronounced numerical insight and can bring structure, prioritize, and maintain an overview.
  • You gain the trust of your colleagues through your meticulous and correct follow-up of files and your work ethic and flexibility.
  • With a strong sense of responsibility and a proactive, problem-solving attitude, you succeed in working result-oriented and efficiently.
  • You are skilled in Excel and have experience with an ERP package (preferably SAP).
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English with a basic knowledge of French. (Knowledge of German is a plus.)
