Company Description Wattloop specializes in providing instant diagnostic solutions and certification for end-of-life electric vehicle (EV) batteries. Our plug-and-play system automates battery condition and state-of-health assessments, with all data securely stored in the cloud for seamless access. This innovative solution enables recyclers and operators to quickly make informed decisions, increase end-of-life value, and improve efficiency with the batteries they handle. By providing verified battery certificates, Wattloop facilitates confident repair, repurposing, and resale of EV batteries, significantly impacting the sustainability of the European battery value chain. Role Description Wattloop is seeking a dedicated full stack Python Developer for a full-time, hybrid (min 3 days / week in the office) position based in Ghent. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our full diagnostics stack. device level – CAN communication on Raspberry Pi-based hardware, speaking directly with batteries in the field core logic: python services handling automotive diagnostics and MQTT backend: python APIs frontend: make beautiful visualisations of the battery data we extract devops: Docker, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation Who you are Self starter who takes real ownership Curious about how and why things work Eager to make a difference for a more circular (battery) economy You enjoy the speed and chaos of an early-stage startup You have good craic Qualifications Solid Python skills (2+ years of experience) Comfortable with backend development Willing to learn frontend basics Bonus: experience with CAN bus, automotive protocols, or embedded systems Interested?
