CAPEX Project Manager

Our client - a global company active in mechanical recycling of plastics - is looking for a CAPEX Project Manager to spearhead this area of their business. This role will take end-to-end ownership for CAPEX/investment projects within mechanical recycling of plastics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovate and Implement: Design and develop cutting-edge process technologies for mechanical recycling, with a focus on the entire process from feeder/shredder, conveyor belt, metal separation, wind shifter, and NIR (Near-Infrared) sorting.
- Drive Business Growth: Identify and capitalize on business opportunities, ensuring exceptional safety, quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Be the Expert: Provide critical technical advice and solve complex challenges to enhance business performance.
- Network and Collaborate: Build strong relationships with vendors, engineering firms, and technical networks.
- Stay Ahead: Keep abreast of the latest technical advancements and collaborate with other technology teams.
- Strategic Leadership: As the most senior technical authority within the Operations and Project organization department, oversee mechanical recycling processes and new technologies, collaborating closely with operations and management of their mechanical recycling plants.
About You:
- Educational Excellence: Master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Industry Insider: Extensive experience in the mechanical recycling industry, particularly with polyolefins.
- Project Pro: Proven track record in process design and CAPEX investment projects.
- Hands-On Leader: Significant hands-on experience with mechanical recycling operations, including feeder/shredder, conveyor belt, metal separation, wind shifter, and NIR sorting.
- Fluent Communicator: Proficient in English, with strong business acumen and effectiveness in multicultural teams.
- Travel Enthusiast: Willingness to travel within Europe to drive impact.
- Strategic and Analytical Thinker: Strong technical capabilities in mechanical recycling, with the ability to collaborate with R&D and drive new technologies and innovation forward.
