Make a difference in a critical domain of BNP PARIBAS Fortis and join Operational Permanent Control (OPC) as our Account Manager (ACMA).

As the bank’s first line of defense, OPC plays a key role in mitigating operational risks, from process inefficiencies to fraud and regulatory compliance. We work closely with business units to identify risks, implement controls, and drive continuous improvement, ensuring a secure and trustworthy environment for both customers and employees.

In this role, you’ll focus on Professional Ethics (PE), Market Integrity (MI), Protection of Client Interests (PIC), and Fraud Prevention, domains that are foundational to our reputation and license to operate. By enforcing conflict-of-interest management, fair client treatment, market abuse prevention, and anti-fraud measures, you’ll help uphold transparency, avoid legal/reputational risks, and reinforce trust.

As Account Manager (ACMA), you’ll act as the domain expert and orchestrator for OPC, serving as the key liaison between stakeholders, leadership, and governance forums.

Your role includes:

• Domain Expertise & Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of evolving regulations and best practices in Professional Ethics, Market Integrity, Protection of Client Interests, and Fraud Prevention.
  • Build credibility by sharing insights with Second Line of Defense (LoD2) and peers.
  • Simplify complex topics (e.g., market abuse, fraud schemes) for colleagues.
• Reporting Officer to Compliance & Fraud Meetings; Represent OPC in compliance committees, ensuring accurate, transparent updates on PE/MI/PIC/Fraud topics.
  • Pre-align with Compliance to address sensitive issues (e.g., control gaps).
  • Present data clearly, without jargon, linking updates to strategic priorities.
• Backlog & Roadmap Orchestration: Manage the PE/MI/PIC/Fraud backlog and translate it into a dynamic roadmap.
  • Balance competing demands between Compliance, OPC, and business units.
  • Communicate updates tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Internal OPC Reference Point & Guidance: Serve as the go-to expert for OPC colleagues (control developers, analysts).
  • Lead structured workshops with actionable outcomes.
  • Ensure prioritization and quality of control results.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management: Keep stakeholders informed and aligned on requirements and development plans.
  • Deliver tailored updates in governance meetings.
• Proactive Advisory to OPC Management Team (MT): Provide clear, actionable advice to enable efficient decision-making.
  • Prepare executive summaries highlighting key trade-offs and recommendations.
