Job Description More about our mission and what we offer . Your Mission : Wise has pioneered new ways for cross-border money transfer and now offers multi-currency accounts. Your role is to scale and improve how we manage, monitor, and identify opportunities in our FinCrime risk profile, with a customer-centric approach, guided by regulatory requirements and expectations. In this role, you will contribute to the EU Product Compliance and Risk team by: Developing the 1LoD FinCrime Risk Monitoring Framework tailored to Wise Europe's products, customer segments, and market presence, aligning with regulatory expectations and identifying risk and efficiency trends. Performing root cause analyses on these trends, recommending and implementing control or efficiency improvements that comply with regulations and are customer-focused. Additional responsibilities include: Issue Management and Project Reporting: Tracking FinCrime activities, ensuring issues are documented, prioritized, and resolved efficiently, providing guidance to product teams. Reporting to Committees: Presenting monitoring outcomes and updates to relevant committees, including executive management, regulators, and the Board, and providing updates on remediation programs. Regulatory Inquiry Oversight: Managing regulatory inquiries, conducting deep-dives on specific cases, and delivering high-quality responses that explain controls and the FinCrime framework effectively. This Role Will Give You The Opportunity To : Design the first-line FinCrime monitoring framework for Wise Europe. Ensure compliance is integrated into the product development cycle in a fast-paced environment. Identify FinCrime issues and lead solution design and implementation. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Belgian and/or European AML/CTF regulations, NBB guidance, AMLD4, and EBA Guidelines. Analytical skills and experience with BI tools like Looker. Proven track record in establishing AML/CTF monitoring frameworks. Ability to collaborate with product managers, engineers, and operational teams, influencing priorities with qualitative and quantitative arguments. Excellent communication, project management, and coordination skills. Problem-solving mindset, comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Willingness to travel within Europe.
