Role: Quality Assistant OfficerIndustry: Motor Parts Manufacturer🚙Location: GhentSalary: €60,000💸Job PurposeAs a Quality Assistant you support the Quality Manager in coordinating and executing all quality-related activities concerning products, processes, and deliveries. Your role contributes to customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and the achievement of strategic quality objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure quality compliance in line with customer requirements and procedures.Maintain adherence to customer quality guidelines, quality management systems, and IATF 16949 standards.Support continuous improvement of plant quality performance (process, product, and delivery).Assist in coordinating customer and supplier complaint handling.Support product qualification activities and follow up on product test builds.Prepare weekly and monthly reports on quality activities and KPIs.Manage quality management documentation and assess processes and procedures.Support communication and meetings with customers and suppliers regarding quality topics.Plan, coordinate, and participate in internal and external quality audits and certifications.Inspect processes and train employees on quality-related topics.Support the maintenance and update of process documentation (SOW, PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.).Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.Experience within a Quality department of a production or manufacturing environment.Experience in resolving internal and external audit findings.Knowledge of automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).Understanding of IATF 16949 principles.Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel skills (Power Pivot, Visual Basic) are a plus.Fluent in Dutch and English.
