Frontend Software Engineer

Hi there 👋 We are Just Russel, but we'll talk about ourselves later Right now it's all about you.We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer with deep expertise in Vue.js, Nuxt.js and TypeScript to help drive the evolution of our customer-facing digital experiences. You will be joining a growing tech team with 2 other frontend engineers, 7 backend engineers, 2 product engineers and 1 UX/UI designer. We collaborate closely using Figma for design, Vitest for unit testing, Playwright for end-to-end testing and a modern frontend stack to build fast, accessible, and elegant user interfaces.What you'll do:Build and maintain high-quality web applications using Nuxt.js and TypeScript.Collaborate with design and product to implement intuitive, responsive and accessible UIs based on Figma designs.Leverage Nuxt’s SSR, SSG and dynamic routing features to optimize SEO and performance.Help maintain and evolve our component library and design system.Ensure frontend quality through robust automated testing with Playwright.Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth end-to-end functionality.Take part in architectural discussions, mentor teammates and advocate for frontend best practicesContribute to a culture of high-quality code, thoughtful collaboration and continuous improvementWhat we're looking for:Technical skillsExpert in Vue.js is a must, Nuxt.js and TypeScriptSolid experience with HTML5, SCSS/CSS (Tailwind), responsive design and accessibility (WCAG)Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization and SEOSkilled in Vitest, Playwright or similar testing frameworks.Comfortable working with Git, CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and collaborating in full-stack environmentsProfessional experience6+ years of frontend engineering experience in product-focused teamsProven track record of delivering scalable, user-friendly interfaces in productionStrong collaboration experience with designers, product managers, and backend teamsTeam & communicationYou enjoy working in cross-functional squads and contributing to team successYou take ownership, are proactive in problem-solving and offer constructive feedbackClear communicator who can explain technical topics in a business-friendly wayNice-to-haveExperience with Figma, Storybook or building internal design systemsFamiliarity with e-commerce, personalization or subscription-based platformsWhy join Just RusselAt Just Russel, we are on a mission to change the way we care for pets through convenience, preventive health and data-driven decisions.
