Functie Als Senior Mechanical Design Engineer zal je instaan voor onderstaand takenpakket: Je bent de rechterhand van de R&D manager en begeleidt en ondersteunt je collega mechanical engineers functioneel. Je bent samen met een aantal collega’s verantwoordelijk voor het volledige mechanische ontwerp van de machines. Dit start vanaf de conceptfase tot de oplevering van een geïndustrialiseerde machine. Je werkt hiervoor nauw samen met je collega’s die gespecialiseerd zijn op het gebied van sturingen of met externe partners waarvoor jij het eerste aanspreekpunt bent. Je zoekt de grenzen van de huidige technologie op. Als Ingenieur ben je gebeten om de huidige machines constant te verbeteren en denk je op een creatieve manier na over nieuwe machines. Je hebt sporadische contacten met klanten, waarbij je de eerste installaties van de machines en de bijhorende nazorg van nabij opvolgt. Een reis naar het buitenland kan hiervoor gevraagd worden. Profiel Als Senior Mechanical Design Engineer kan je onderstaande zaken grotendeels afvinken: Je bent een industrieel of burgerlijk ingenieur met reeds ervaring in een soortgelijke functie. Je hebt relevante ervaring in het optimaliseren van bestaande machines en komt daarbij met nieuwe creatieve concepten. Je hebt reeds ervaring met een 3D ontwerppakket. Specifiek wordt er hier met CREO Parametrics gewerkt. Je bent een sterk conceptuele denker die in staat is om complexe problemen gestructureerd aan te pakken. Je hebt oog voor de financiële en maakbaarheid consequenties van je ontwerp. Je houdt van een informele en no-nonsense cultuur. Je spreekt zeer goed Nederlands en hebt ook een goede kennis van het Engels wegens de internationale context.
