🔹 Senior Linux Red Hat System Engineer📍 EU Institution – Brussels 🏢 On-site: 3 days per weekWe are currently looking for a Senior Linux Red Hat System Engineer to join the engineering and operations team responsible for the compute (server) infrastructure of a major EU Institution.This role combines hands-on Linux operations with engineering, automation, and DevOps responsibilities in a large-scale enterprise environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and engineer Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments (physical & virtual)Manage and automate systems using AnsibleHandle patching and package distribution via Red Hat SatellitePerform system hardening, vulnerability management, and troubleshootingContribute to automation, containers, and DevOps initiativesWork closely with developers, security, network, and architecture teamsParticipate in continuous improvement of infrastructure and open-source solutions✅ Required Skills & ExperienceStrong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (6.x, 7.x, 8.x) or CentOSMinimum 3 years of professional Linux system engineering experienceAnsible and automationScripting skills (Shell, Ansible Playbooks, Python)System hardening and security patchingExperience in VMware virtualized environments⭐ Nice to HaveExperience in large enterprise or institutional environmentsSAN technologies, ESX / vCenterHyperconverged platforms (e.g. Nutanix)Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Infrastructure as Code, Cloud / Hybrid Cloud (AWS, Azure)Knowledge of ITIL best practicesExperience with SLA-based operations and service delivery🏛 Why Join?Work in a stable, long-term EU institutional environmentLarge-scale infrastructure with real engineering challengesMix of operations, automation, and architectureInternational and collaborative setting📩 Interested or want more details?
