Your Main Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented accountant to manage financial tasks and ensure the accurate and timely recording of transactions. The ideal candidate will work closely with our finance team to perform accounting duties, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and assist in financial reporting and analysis. Furthermore the accountant will work together with the Accounting director and report to headquarters on a regular basis. Accounting & Reporting Cycle Manage the general accounting from A to Z: daily entries, monthly and annual closings. Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, notes) in compliance with Belgian (BEGAAP) and international accounting standards. Respond to auditor inquiries and provide the necessary support. Prepare the statutory annual accounts (BNB scheme and annexes). Prepare, analyze, and report monthly financial results to management and headquarters, including profit and loss statements. Tax & Compliance Prepare VAT returns for multiple group entities. Support in the preparation of corporate tax (ISOC) declarations and follow up on regular tax matters. Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and revaluations. Monitor and justify accounts through financial analysis. Implement and follow up on accounting and internal control procedures. Cross-Department Support Prepare the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, monitor actual spending versus budget, and report on variances (in close collaboration with Controlling). Monitor and follow up on ongoing orders (in support of Purchasing/Logistics). People Management Supervise, coach, and support the local accounting team to ensure the reliability of financial information and compliance with deadlines. Your Profile At least 5 years of experience as a General Accountant managing the full accounting cycle. • Proficient in SAP software. Solid knowledge of Belgian accounting standards (BEGAAP) and Belgian tax regulations (VAT, ISOC). Knowledge of Dutch accounting regulation is a plus. Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus (written and spoken). Proven experience in people management and team supervision. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and demonstrate a keen eye for detail. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; rigorous and precise. Comfortable collaborating with other departments (Management Control, Legal, Purchasing, Logistics, etc.).
