As an Assistant Manager, you are responsible for supporting the Manager in reaching the store targets. You assist and report to the Manager while carrying out the Twinset procedures and standard daily tasks. You are also responsible for developing and managing your team, following the in-store visual merchandising strategy, and completing administrative paperwork.

Responsibilities

Sales Skills
  1. Manage your team to reach and exceed the store targets and KPIs as outlined by the Manager.
  2. Coach your team, plan lunch breaks, and manage the floor plan.
  3. Be constantly on the shop floor and available to assist customers.
  4. Deliver outstanding and personal customer service while complying with Twinset standards.
  5. Demonstrate a passion for the fashion sector and keep your knowledge of fashion and market trends up to date.
Operations
  1. Manage the opening and closing procedures for your store or concession.
  2. Operate the department till system.
  3. Manage the loss prevention procedure, perform regular full inventories, and communicate stock discrepancies to the logistics department.
  4. Have an awareness of the loss prevention procedures in-store and communicate these to the staff.
  5. Pay attention to the security of the staff and customers.
  6. Maintain a good understanding of the administration tasks for store management (banking, cash handling, credit notes, exchanges, and refunds).
  7. Manage the deliveries of new collections and ensure effective replenishment.
Visual Merchandising
  1. Manage and execute the visual merchandising instructions.
  2. Be involved in the implementation of the new collection on the shop floor.
  3. Adapt the VM guides to the space as needed.
  4. Ensure the shop floor and windows are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
  5. Support the introduction and maintenance of daily replenishment of products on the shop floor.
  6. Communicate the VM standards to your colleagues.
  7. Ensure you copy the layouts of the VM tools.
  8. Know, use, and communicate the VM tools to the team.
Human Resources
  1. Support the recruitment for the store with the Manager.
  2. Train and develop the Supervisor with a training plan that utilizes their skills.
  3. Follow the training progress of new employees.
  4. Identify aspiring team members and set up plans to develop their skills.
  5. Coach and motivate your team by setting skill targets to achieve.
  6. Create a positive atmosphere, motivate, and recognize achievements within the team.

Qualifications

Requirements

  3. Strong knowledge of team management.
  4. Strong communication skills.
  5. Well-spoken and written in English.
  6. Demonstrate the ability to manage priorities.
  7. Ability to multitask.
  8. Management of administrative tasks.
  9. Knowledge of fashion and retail market trends.
  10. Knowledge of VM techniques.
  11. Experience in training people.
  12. Passionate about fashion.
  13. Interested in exceeding customer expectations.
Qualities Required

  6. Sense of responsibility and priorities of the store.
  7. Experience as an Assistant or Supervisor.
Experience Required

Experience of successfully being an Assistant or Supervisor for at least two years in the premium to mid-luxury sector.
