Duration: 1 year (renewable) Tech Stack: Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Python, SQL Server, Power BI.About the role We are seeking an experienced Freelance Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and solutions. You will collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable, integrated, and high-quality data solutions. Your role will focus on reinforcing DevOps principles, ensuring data coherence across the enterprise, and driving continuous improvement.Key responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Python. Implement data enrichment and transformation processes in a Databricks environment. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and propose reusable, integrated solutions. Contribute to extensive testing of solutions and reinforce DevOps principles. Write and structure technical and functional documentation. Adopt a transversal view of data across the enterprise to maximize coherence, reuse, and adoption. Support Power BI reporting and analytics initiatives. Stay updated on emerging technologies (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ, Neo4j, Apache Arrow) and apply them where relevant.Ideal candidate profile 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in following areas:SQL Server (advanced querying, optimization, and administration).Azure services (Databricks, Data Factory, Functions, Stream/Log Analytics, DevOps).Python-based data pipelines in a Databricks environment.Power BI (reporting, dashboards, and data visualization). Open to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving tools. Analytical mindset with a track record of driving results through continuous improvement. Customer-oriented and product-focused, with a team-player attitude. Strong communication skills in English, French, and Dutch. Experience with SAP data integration is a plus.
