I am recruiting for a Lead Application Engineer to join my client's team near Brussels. The role is based in a high-level research environment and centres on supporting engineers developing custom ICs.As a Lead Application Engineer, you will work closely with customer teams to strengthen their analog and mixed signal design flows, particularly in custom layout and layout automation. You will collaborate directly with customer engineers while coordinating technical matters with internal specialists.Key responsibilitiesDevelop and refine methodologies that improve how customers design ICsDeliver focused training sessions and informal knowledge sharing to help teams use tools effectivelyEnhance automation within analog design workflowsAnalyse technical issues raised by customers and coordinate solutions with internal groupsProvide feedback and observations to guide future tool improvements Build long lasting and trusted relationships with customer engineering teamsRequired qualificationsMSc or MEng in microelectronics or a related fieldMore than 5 years of experience in analog, mixed signal or RF design flowsStrong background in custom IC layout across block and full chip level, including tape outUnderstanding of analog layout automation techniquesOccasional travel may be required.Candidates must already have the right to work in Belgium, as visa sponsorship is not available.
